English Language Arts Goals
  

Developmental Pre-School
Grade Level Goal :

Class will print first name legibly no model

Kindergarten
Grade Level Goals:
When given a visual representation of both upper and lower case letters of the alphabet, 80% of students will correctly name the 13 upper and lower case letters and sounds learned by January 2017, and all 26 upper and lower case letters and sounds learned by April 2017.

First Grade
Grade Level Goals:
First Grade will improve blending of phonemes in one syllabic words with short vowels (RF1.2B & RF1.3B) from 50% (64/128 students) meeting expected outcome on 10/3/2016 to 70% (90/128 students) meeting expected outcome by 1/27/2017 as measured by DIBELS, Read Well Assessments & teacher-created assessment.

Third Grade
In the third grade, 80% of the students will reach 80% accuracy of understanding text. Students will be assessed by their ability to refer to a given text and identify key ideas. The assessment window will be between October and April.
  
Sixth Grade
Grade Level Goals:
Students who are not meeting standard in both RL 6.1 and RI 6.1 will improve on citing text based evidence in both reading for information and reading in literature from 22% of students (26 out of 119) meeting standard in November 2016 to 80% (95 out of 119) meeting standard by May of 2017 as measured by STAR reading, SBA scores, Journey’s Assessments.
 
Math Goals

Second Grade
Grade Level Goals:
By May 15, 2017, most students will demonstrate benchmark standard or clear growth on addition fluency (2.NBT.5) as measured by Number Corner baseline assessment, teacher created place value assessment and turn-around facts assessment.
   
Fourth Grade
Grade Level Goals:
In the fourth grade, 80% of the students will reach 85% accuracy of multiplying a 2x2, 4x1, and 3x1 using multiple strategies (area model and standard algorithm) between October and June. CCSS: Math.4.NBT.5

Fifth Grade 
Grade Level Goals:
  • Between 11/1 and 5/1, the desired growth for the 5th grade level will be 100 out of 131 students (75% of students) will be classified as “within” or “above” standard on the STAR Math Test.


Sixth Grade
Grade Level Goals:

6th graders will improve ratio concepts from 2% or few meeting expected outcome to 85% or most meeting expected outcome as measured by Unit 1 assessment, Kems quizzes, exit tickets, and common core worksheets.

Physical Education Goal
Between October 2016 thru May 2017, through a variety of fitness activities and sports units, 75% of the students will show improvement in their one mile run time .

LAP Goal
Most LAP students at Carson Elementary will increase their reading comprehension as shown on STAR Reading assessment by 1.3-1.5 grade equivalence and/or 13 months growth on DIBELS Washington Months of Progress by May 2017 as measured monthly by STAR Reading data by May 2017.

ELL Goal

Music Collaborative Level Goal
K-6 Region 2 Music will improve rhythmic accuracy of 1st, 5th, or 6th grade levels based on criteria in common assessments from some meeting expected outcome in the beginning of the 2nd trimester to most meeting expected outcome by the end of the 2nd trimester as measured by pre/mid/post assessments.

Resource Goal
All students who qualify for specially designed instruction in Reading, grades 1-6, will demonstrate an increase their instructional reading levels of greater than one year’s growth in one year’s time from September of 2016 to May of 2017, as measured by the following assessments: (including but not limited to:) Star, Dibels, Dorf, Curriculum Based Fluency, Fry/Dolch sight words, Easy CBM, and Corrective Reading.
